Lift-off of the first two-man spacecraft (Molly Brown) aboard the Titian II booster to begin the GT-3 mission. Lift-off was at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday, 23 March 1965. Only 24 minutes after the scheduled 9 a.m. launch. The Titian II booster injected Molly Brown and her crew into a 100-140 mile orbit of the Earth.

A wonderful wide angle view of the launching of the first manned Gemini flight. The Gemini-Titan 3 lifted off Pad 19 at 9:24 a.m. The Gemini 3 spacecraft "Molly Brown" carried astronauts Vrigil I. Grissom, command pilot, and John W. Young, pilot, on three orbits of earth.
