SOLD Apollo 12 Lighting Strike 10 x 8 Colour NASA Photograph NASA No. S-69-60068 14 November 1969 The photograph captured a view of a lightning bolt during the launch of the Apollo 12 lunar landing mission from Pad A, Launch Complex 39, Kennedy Space Centre. The silhouetted structure is the mobile launch tower. This electrical discharge between clouds and the ground took place at about 36.5 seconds after lift off when the Apollo 12 space vehicle was about 6,000 feet altitude. This fine NASA reissue is in very good condition and has the old block style purple text on the back with no logo. |

This fine NASA photograph is in good to very good condition and has the purple worm logo and text on the back. It has a few slight half-moon finger dents along the left border that can only be seen in reflective light. Without them it would be in mint condition. |

Bean, Lunar Module pilot. The "Intrepid" landed on the Moon's Ocean of Storms only 600 feet from Surveyor III. The television camera and several other components were taken from Surveyor III and brought back to earth for scientific analysis. Surveyor III soft-landed on the Moon on April 19, 1967. £9.95 Apollo 12 Al Bean Surveyor 3 and Intrepid 10 x 8 Black & White NASA Photograph NASA No. AS12-48-7133 20 November 1969 Apollo 12 Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean inspects the TV Camera of the Surveyor III spacecraft which soft landed on a gently-sloped crater on the Moon's Ocean of Storms on April 19, 1967. Beyond the crater rim is the background is Intrepid, the Apollo 12 Lunar Module which carried the astronauts within 600 feet of the Surveyor Spacecraft on 19 November 1969. The TV camera was removed and taken back to NASA for further study and to develop its internal photograph negatives. This fine NASA photograph is in very good condition. |
