SOLD Apollo 14 Service Structure Roll Back 10 x 8 B/W Glossy NASA Photograph NASA No. 108-KSC-71P-93 30 January 1971 I would say this is one of them most beautiful photographs ever taken atop the Mobile Service Structure. This wonderful view was taken during its removal from the Apollo 14 Saturn V and its mobile launcher. A service technician is seen on top of the White Room which is located on the 320-foot level of the mobile launcher on the night before launch day. £8.95 Apollo 14 Crews Geology Training In Hawaii 10 x 8 B/W Glossy NASA Photograph NASA No. S-70-34416 10 April 1970 Astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr., prime crew commander of the Apollo 14 mission, has a gnomon in his left hand while pulling the 'Met' during a simulation of a traverse on the lunar surface. Members of the Apollo 14 prime and backup crews were in Hawaii to train for the extravehicular activity of their upcoming mission. Features of the terrain at Kapoho and other Hawaiian sites are very similar to those found on the lunar surface. A Modular Equipment Transporter (MET), nicknamed the "Richshaw" because of its appearance and method of propulsion. Al is followed by Ed Mitchell with a Hasselblad Lunar Surface Camera. Behind Ed is Michael McEwen of NASA's Geology Branch and Maj. William Wood of the Lunar Surface Operations Office. This fine vintage NASA glossy photograph is in very good condition. VG+ |
