A fantastic view of the Apollo 6 Lift-Off at 7 a.m. EST on April 4, 1968 from Complex 39A. The colours in the rocket engines plumes are simply outstanding. The actual photograph is not quite as dark as the scan appears and the Saturn V stack is a bit clearer than seen here.

This fine vintage NASA glossy photograph is in good condition and printed on 'A Kodak Paper'. G-

Apollo 6 Spacecraft Recovery

NASA No. S-68-27885

4 April 1968

Recovery personnel from the USS Okinawa participate in the recovery of the Apollo 6 Spacecraft 020 Command Module. A U.S. Navy frogman team is attaching a flotation collar to the CM. The USS Okinawa was the prime recovery ship for the Apollo 6 (Spacecraft 020/Saturn 502) unmanned space mission. Splashdown occurred at 4:58:45 p.m. EST at 375 nautical miles north of Honolulu, Hawaii.
