£12.95 Apollo SA-9 Mission A-103 Launch 10 x 8 Colour Glossy NASA Photograph 16 February 1965 A wonderful distance view of the SA-9 lifting off from Launch Complex 37B at the Cape with BP-16 onboard. Call sign Mission A-103 was the eighth unmanned Saturn flight. It was the initial vehicle in the operational series of Saturn I launch vehicles and the third to carry an Apollo boilerplate payload. The vehicle also orbited the first of three meteoroid technology satellites, Pegasus A. The launch vehicle (SA-9) consisted of an S-I first stage, an S-IV second stage, and an instrument unit. The Spacecraft consisted of a boilerplate command and service module, a launch escape system, and a service module/launch vehicle adapter (BP-16).
