The SA-7 was successfully launched on 18 September 1964 and was noted as a fully successful mission and the spacecraft achieved its 59 Earth orbits. This will be the second test flight of this configuration. The spacecraft BP-15 includes a Command Module, Service Module, Adapter Section and Launch Escape System. This will be the first Apollo spacecraft to have an Reactional Control System with a programmable computer onboard. The flight met all its objectives. The spacecraft continued to transmit telemetry for five orbits and was tracked right up until re-entry on its 59th orbit over the Indian Ocean after 3 days and 15 hours of flight.
