This is the emblem for the first manned Skylab mission. It wil be a mission of up to 28 days. The patch, designed by artist Kelly Freas, shows the Skylab silhouetted against the earth's globe, which in turn is eclipsing the Sun - showing the brilliant signet-ring pattern of the instant before total eclipse.

Skylab 2 Spacecraft Mating with Saturn 1B

The Apollo spacecraft for the first manned visit to the Skylab Orbital Workshop is seen mating with the Saturn 1B rocket in the Vehicle Assembly Building's high bay.

This is a very sharp clear photograph and you can clearly see the KSC workers on the various high bay levels.

A wonderful view of Skylab 1 & 2 taken high atop the LUT as the Mobile Service Structure, seen on the right, rolls back to the Skylab 2 Saturn 1B after the completion of a Countdown Demonstration Test at Launch Complex 39's Pad B. This shot give us a very clear view of the CSM and Escape System. Seen in the distance is Skylab 1's Saturn 1B standing proudly on Pad-A some 1-1/2 miles away.
