SOLD Valery Bykovski & Valentina Tereshkova 10 x 8 Black & White Russian Lithograph Bykovski was selected as cosmonaut on 07.03.1960 (TsPK-1) and did his cosmonaut basic training from March 1960 to 18 January 1961. After training he was assigned for Soyuz 2. He was a member of the cosmonaut-group for the Soviet Luna Landing Program and he currently works in Star City.Commander: Vostok 5 - Soyuz 22 & 31 Valentina Tereshkova was chosen to fly aboard Vostok 6, scheduled for a June 16, 1963 launch date. It is believed that her backup was Irina Solovyova. Tereshkova's training included at least two long simulations on the ground, of 6 days and 12 days duration. On June 14, 1963 cosmonaut Valeriy Bykovsky launched on Vostok 5. Tereshkova and Vostok 6 launched two days later, flying with the call sign Chaika (Seagull). Flying two different orbits, Vostok 5 and 6 came briefly within roughly 5 km (3 miles) of each other. Two very bold signatures in silver / white. £19.95 Mikhail Nikolayevich Burdayev 7 x 5 Black & White Glossy Photograph Burdayev was selected as a Cosmonaut on 12 March 1967 (TsPK-4) and did his cosmonaut basic training from May 1967 to August 1969. Later on he worked as trainer at the Gagarin-Centre. Mikhail graduated from the Air Force Engineering Academy, and received his doctorate degree in 1987. In 1994 he became a professor in space ballistics and retired as a Colonel in the Soviet Air Force. This fine hand signed glossy photograph is in mint condition and printed on Kodak Paper. |

Commander: Vostok 5 - Soyuz 22 & 31 Bykovski was selected as cosmonaut on 07.03.1960 (TsPK-1) and did his cosmonaut basic training from March 1960 to 18 January 1961. Bykovsky set a new space endurance record when he spent five days in orbit aboard Vostok 5 in 1963, and although this record has been long surpassed, to this day, it remains the space endurance record for a solo flight. SOLD Vladimir Dzhanibekov 10 x 8 Black & White Glossy Photograph Dzhanibekov has spent over 146 days in space aboard five spaceflights. He is one of the most experienced cosmonauts in history. Dzhanibekov made his first spaceflight aboard Soyuz 27 in 1978. The spacecraft docked with the Salyut 6 space station for eight days. He spent another week aboard Salyut 6 in 1981. In 1985, Dzhanibekov took part in a dangerous mission to revive the dead Salyut 7 space station. The crew made a five-hour spacewalk to restore solar panels and repair power systems to the station. His combined space experience is more than 22 months. His 2 Space missions total – 678 days 16 hours 33 min. 18 sec in space. 1st Space mission – August 29, 1988 – April 27, 1989, Cosmonaut-Medicine of MM-3 and MM-4 to “Mir’‘ Station (Soyuz TM-6). SOLD Gherman Stepanovich Titov 4 x 6 Vintage Russian Portrait Card (lithograph) Vostok-2 Launch Date: 6 August 1962 Titov was the the worlds second astronaut to fly in space and has a few interesting "first" accredited to him. Titov was selected for cosmonaut training in 1960, and from there was chosen to fly the Vostok-2 mission launched in August 6 the following year. The mission lasted for 25.3h and accomplished 17 earth orbits. His call sign in this flight was Eagle (Russian: Орёл). A month short of 26 years old at launch, he remains to this day the youngest person to fly in space. Titov was the first person to sleep in space and the first to get "space sickness". £49.95 Soyuz 33 Prime Crew Hand Signed by: Nikolay Rukavishnikov & Georgi Ivanov 7 x 5 Black & White Glossy Photograph Launch 10 April 1979 - Landed 12 April 1979 The Soyuz 33 mission was intended to dock with Salyut 6 but failed to do so due to an engine malfunction. When approaching to within 4-km of the station the engine was fired for a planned 6 second burn, but it shut down after 3 seconds and the Igla docking system also shut down. The Proton crew on the Salyut 6 reported flames shooting out of the main engine and towards the back-up engine at the time of the shutdown.
