President Lyndon B. Johnson visited the Cape on a inspection tour on September 15, 1964. This is one of the badges worn by one of the officials in his party during the tour.

Another good example to support the fact that NASA had way too much budget money left over from the Apollo Program that they just did not know quite how to spend it all.

This is more like a fine piece of gold plated jewellery that a plain ole press pass.

This official vintage NASA Press Pass is in very good condition. The colours are not very good in the scan. The blue and red are much clearer that what is shown here and there are no scratches or imperfections. Just a very difficult item to scan. The gold border and inside outline are not as it appears in this scan. The scan reflection makes it look scratched and uneven but its not.

The IMP series were managed by the Goddard Space Flight Center with the primary objectives of investigation of interplanetary plasma and the interplanetary magnetic field
